MEETme : Say Hello to Talk of the Party

Following on in our MEETme series, please allow us to introduce Chelsea Honner, owner of online store Talk of the Party. Based in the gorgeous Barossa Valley, we asked Chelsea a few questions to learn more about her store.

How would you describe your online store?
Talk of the Party is an online Party Boutique. We have sourced unique partyware from around Australia and the world. Our aim for the website, is to provide partyware for any event whether it be a wedding, birthday, baby shower or anything in between. By sourcing all the products ourselves, we have been able to find some really different, quality partyware that we are proud to sell to our customers. As a part of our store we also offer event planning, styling and prop hire. This is something we are passionate about and we hope to grow into a successful business both online and for our services in the Barossa Valley.

What types of products are you drawn to?
It’s hard to just pick one type of product but I personally love all the little trimmings for an event. Whether it be doilies, treat bags or glittery tape, that's what I love finding and selling. At the moment I am loving the Alex Mae DIY Invites with the matching wishing well and rsvp cards. We recently attended a wedding fair and every client was commenting on them. They definitely make me want to get married again (I’d keep the same man... I think lol!).

What are your personal workspace essentials?
Our Mac is the most essential item in our office. It’s where all the work is done. However, I love having a beautiful smelling candle on the table, along with some gorgeous stationery and a nice cup of peppermint tea.

Do you have any tips for readers who might be planning their own wedding, party or event?
3 tips:
1 - Once you have an idea you are happy with, stick with it.
2 - Sometimes keeping it simple with a few beautiful pieces is better than ‘over doing it’.
3 - Look for inspiration. There are so many people with unique ideas, so source them and create something that suits your needs.
