MEETme : Say Hello to Paperpoint

We love getting to know our stockists - we like hearing about where it all started, what products they are drawn to and how it all comes together. Listening to these stories makes us want to share their journey with you too! So please join us as we learn a little bit more about our favourite stores through MEETme, a new series of Q & A with our stockists. Located in South Melbourne, Paperpoint is the first of our feature stores. We asked Manager Nancy Dietz a few questions to find out more.

What was the inspiration behind opening the store?
Paperpoint has been around for over 20 years – we started as a place for designers and printers to go to get paper samples and we grew from that core into a retail space full of amazing papers and paper related things.

If you had to sum up the vibe of Paperpoint in a few words, it would be...
Creative, inspirational, crafty, fun – we’re all about paper and fun stuff that you can use with paper.

What do you look for in products when sourcing goodies for your store?
We really like to find stuff that has a local connection – made or designed in Australia. We really like supporting suppliers and designers as they start their business journeys. Of course, all of our products needs a connection with paper since we’re Paperpoint.

What is the biggest trend you're seeing right now?
Twine! We have a variety of different hemp and cotton twines in amazing colours. You can get twine in rolls, spools or on cards. Twine is definitely a must have for wrapping and can really jazz up card-making as well. Honestly, you can’t have too much twine!

Favourite part about your store location is...
Well, being in South Melbourne, we like to think that we have access to the best coffee on the planet (or at least in Melbourne).

Where can our readers connect with you online?
We have an online store at and we are also on Facebook.

If you want to immerse yourself in all things paper, you'll find Paperpoint at 259 Coventry Street, South Melbourne. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am –5pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm.
