DIY : Big Hearted Ideas

After a big morning packing orders in the studio, we decided to get our creative juices flowing and whip up a few projects using some Large Paper Hearts from our Paper Hearts range. There are so many ways you can use these hearts. They're not just limited to tags, although they are guaranteed to make any package look super cute.

Alex Mae heart tag confetti pockets

First up, confetti pockets! We used Large Kraft Paper Hearts and did some hand lettering with gold pen.  Then we sewed them together and filled with confetti that we made using a 1/2 inch hole punch and our papers in Melon, Mint and White. Got lots to make? Grab a couple of friends and make it a social affair.

Feel in the mood to spread some love? You can't go wrong with giving some baked goodies - extra brownie points if they're home made! We prettied up this package using a Large Melon Paper Heart.

Alex Mae heart mobile

Too pretty to be kept in a desk drawer, we used some Large Mint Paper Hearts to make this mini mobile. Using three pieces of dowel (which you can pick up from your local hardware or craft supplies store), we hung the paper hearts at various heights with fishing line for a striking but simple effect. We decorated the dowel with twine from the Dailylike range in Beige and Dark Gray. Hint: keep dowels in place before securing with twine by using a tiny bit of blu-tack.
